Two join Convention & Visitors Bureau

The Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau has hired Steven Fulbright as director of tourism and Angela Stanley as marketing manager.

Fulbright has served as manager of Main Street Macon since 2014, and while there, he worked to improve downtown through events, business development, marketing and developing strong relationships with community partners.

Prior to joining the Main Street program, Fulbright spent 15 years promoting tourism and historic preservation at the Macon-Bibb CVB, the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation’s Hay House. He also served on the Antebellum Trail Board and coordinated the seven cities Antebellum Trail Pilgrimage. Currently, he serves as the board president of the Macon Arts Alliance, is a co-chairman of the College Hill Commission and sits on the boards of the Cherry Blossom Festival, the Macon Film Festival, and the Historic Macon Foundation.

Stanley previously held several marketing positions at Turner Broadcasting Systems with various networks, which included TBS, TNT, and the Cartoon Network. She also has worked in marketing at Georgia State University for the College of Education, and held other positions in media buying and event planning.

Rozier joins GMFS Mortgage

Dave Rozier has been hired as a senior mortgage originator in the Macon branch of GMFS Mortgage. He has more than 30 years of experience.

Headquartered in Baton Rouge, Lousiana, GMFS originates residential mortgage loans, primarily in the southern United States, according to the company’s website. Founded in 1999, GMFS has about 250 employees. Since its founding, GMFS has funded home loans for more than 79,000 customers in multiple states resulting in more than $12.9 billion in funding.

Kerri Moore Interiors named business of month

Perry Area Chamber of Commerce recognized Kerri Moore Interiors as the May Business of the Month. They were nominated and chosen by the business development committee. The shop offers home furnishings, furniture and accessories as well as professional interior and exterior decorating services.
