An autopsy is needed to determine the cause of death for a woman who was found dead Wednesday morning in the back yard of a Rocky Creek Road home.

According to a police news release, the woman was identified early Wednesday evening as Tracey Bilow, 48. Her last known address was 508 Beacham Court.

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding Bilow’s family and in investigating her death. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Macon police at (478) 751-7500 or Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.

According to the news release, there were no signs of violence or foul play in Bilow’s death. An autopsy will be performed.

A man who took care of the house found the woman at about 7 a.m., said Lonnie Miley, a deputy Bibb County coroner. The woman was lying face up about 20 feet from the back steps. There weren’t any visible signs of trauma, Miley said.

“We’re treating it as a suspicious death until we know,” he said.

It appeared as though she died sometime early Wednesday morning, he said.

Miley said the woman has been known to visit a man at the house, located at 1350 Rocky Creek Road. She didn’t live there.

Writer Phillip Ramati contributed to this report. To contact writer Amy Leigh Womack, call 744-4398.
