Macon police investigating carjacking of Eastman man

Macon police are investigating a carjacking from Wednesday night at the intersection of Randall Road and Travis Boulevard, according to a police report.

The report said the victim, Robert Lewis Jr. of Eastman, was at a stop sign at that intersection at about 10:30 p.m. when a black man with a dark gray hat with an “A” on it approached with a chrome-colored automatic gun. The gunman entered the vehicle behind the driver and told Lewis to get out. The man had a scar on the right side of his face, according to the report.

The gunman then drove away in the vehicle, a 2001 black Chevy Tahoe, according to the report. The vehicle was later found about 11 p.m.

No one was injured during the incident. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
