Authorities have arrested the second man accused in the April robbery of a 57-year-old motorist in the driveway of her daughter’s English Avenue home.
Dantre Horatio Shivers, 31, formerly a suspect on the Macon Police Department’s “Most Wanted” list, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force using a Macon Regional CrimeStoppers tip, according to a police news release.
Deputy U.S. Marshal John Edgar said task force members found Shivers at an apartment in Lithonia on Aug. 7. Shivers ran upstairs and tried to escape out a back window, but he then surrendered without incident.
Two other men and a woman were at the home when authorities arrived. DeKalb County deputies seized three guns and a small amount of drugs from the apartment, Edgar said.
Shivers, of Atlanta, is charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery, according to Macon police.
Shivers and 33-year-old Brenton Lance Spencer are accused of demanding money at gunpoint from Lulu Campbell as she sat in her Toyota Tundra on April 21. Spencer allegedly fired a bullet at Campbell, and she fired back with her .38-caliber revolver.
Shivers then allegedly fired shots at Campbell, and Campbell kept firing her gun.
Spencer, of Macon, was shot in the chest April 21 and was treated at The Medical Center of Central Georgia before being booked into the county jail, according to the news release.
Shivers is being held on $44,200 bond. Spencer is being held without bond, according to jail records.
