Man hospitalized after shooting at Macon nightclub

A Macon man was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia early Monday after he was shot at Club Action, 3272 Pio Nono Ave.

Johnny Jackson, 24, was shot in the chest, according to a Macon police news release.

Police responded to a report of a large fight and a person shot just before 4 a.m. When they arrived, officers found multiple .40-caliber and .380-caliber shell casings in the parking lot. They stopped a car leaving the parking lot after seeing a bullet hole in the driver’s door, according to the report.

Officers talked with people crowded around, but everyone said they were inside and didn’t see or hear anything. Three vehicles and a vacant business were damaged by the gunfire, according to police.
