Investigators seek woman accused of scamming Middle Georgia’s elderly

Bibb County sheriff’s investigators need help identifying a woman who reportedly has been targeting elderly people in Middle Georgia and taking their money.

The woman allegedly approaches individuals, says she knows them from their doctor’s office and tells them she needs money because her vehicle left her stranded, according to a news release.

Investigators have discovered the woman isn’t an employee of any of the doctors she’s mentioned.

The woman is described as being white, of average build and with blond hair, according to the release.

She was reported to be driving an older, gray van with a Peach County tag. One victim saw her driving a light-colored vehicle, possibly a Ford Taurus. Witnesses have said a white man rides with her during the incidents, according to the sheriff’s office.

Anyone with information is asked to call investigator Tania Greer at 621-5675.
