Macon man cut by man not allowed to join card game

A 25-year-old Macon man was cut in the leg with a steak knife Sunday night after another man wasn’t allowed to join a card game behind the rental office for Green Meadows Apartments on Log Cabin Drive.

Corey Crafter, of Hollingsworth Road, told police he had been playing cards at 6:30 p.m. with friends when a man showed up and asked to join the game. When the players refused the man’s request, a scuffle ensued, according to a police news release issued Monday morning.

The man with the knife left and headed north after cutting Crafter. Crafter ran home and called police. Police checked the area near the apartments but were unable to find the man with the knife, according to the release.

Crafter was treated at The Medical Center of Central Georgia for a shallow 5-inch long cut near his right knee, according to police.

Anyone with information about the incident or the man with the knife is asked to call police at 751-7500 or Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
