WARNER ROBINS -- A man was killed in a crash between two four-wheelers early Thursday morning on Ga. 247 near the Pulaski County line.
The victim was identified as Willis Walton Varner, 23, of Kathleen, said Houston County sheriff’s Cpl. Sean Alexander.
The other driver, Clayton Reeves, 19, of Kathleen, who left the scene, was later taken Houston Medical Center for road rash and other minor injuries, Alexander said.
The wreck happened at 2:40 a.m. on Ga. 247 at Kovac Road. The two four wheelers were traveling side-by-side along Ga. 247 when there was contact between the vehicles causing both to crash and flip over, Alexander said.

Varner died several minutes later on scene, Alexander said.
Reeves left the scene and was located later and taken to the hospital, Alexander said. Felony and other traffic charges are expected, Alexander said.
Traffic was slowed for three-and-a-half hours due to the crash.
