Autopsy findings show Warner Robins man shot in abdomen

WARNER ROBINS -- A Warner Robins man shot in his Crestwood Terrace home Thursday night died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen, the coroner says.

Keith Moses, 38, of 906 Crestwood Terrace, was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia after the 8 p.m. shooting. He died the next morning. Police initially said he was shot once in the chest.

The fatal wound was through-and-through, so Monday’s autopsy was unable to reveal what type of caliber of weapon was used in the slaying or the direction the bullet traveled, Houston County Coroner Danny Galpin said. Two different types of shell casings were recovered at the scene, he said.

Moses was shot in his home, police said. He fled to a neighbor’s home two doors down and banged on the door for help before collapsing.

The manner of death was ruled a homicide, Galpin said.

Police have released few details related to the shooting.
