A Macon man who was shot early Tuesday morning on Plant Street was arrested on allegations that he robbed a man at gunpoint in July.
Just a day after three people were wounded in Macon shootings early Monday, officers responded to a call regarding a person being shot on Plant Street at about 1:30 a.m.
Officers were met by Devarious Tremaine Lockett, 22, of Clover Place, who had his hand wrapped in a towel.
According to the report, Lockett told officers he was sitting outside smoking a cigarette by an apartment when four men got out of a car and started shooting at him.

While Lockett was talking to officers, the dispatcher informed officers that he was wanted for questioning in another case. EMS personnel treated Lockett’s wound, and officers then arrested him on charges of armed robbery, parole violation and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
On July 30, Lockett allegedly used a shotgun to rob a man as he waited for a bus to work. The robbery occurred at about 5:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of Rocky Creek Road, according to police.
Police Lt. Robert Spires said the man wasn’t hurt when his wallet was stolen.
Additional charges are pending against Lockett, but Spires wouldn’t discuss the details. Police have asked anyone with information about Lockett’s possible involvement in other crimes to call officers at 751-7500 or Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
Lockett is being held at the Bibb County jail.
The shooting is the fifth in less than a week. Police are investigating the shooting death of Robbie Moye, 22, as a homicide after he was shot in a park between May and Zinnia streets Saturday morning.
They also are investigating an incident at apartments on Bloomfield Drive, where Torrey Woodford, 30, was shot in the leg, as well as an incident on Bloomfield Road where an unidentified 19-year-old was shot in the buttocks. Both incidents took place early Monday morning.
In a separate incident, police charged Orlando Lavor Franklin, 20, with aggravated assault and armed robbery after he allegedly shot Hayden McIntyre at McIntyre’s residence on Oglesby Place Monday morning.
