Macon police seek man who stole money from cash drawers

Macon police are searching for a man involved in two incidents Saturday where he stole cash from an open drawer, according to a news release.

The man entered Zaxby’s, 910 Riverside Drive, and bought a drink with a $50 bill. He confused the cashier, asking for change for $100, then reaching into the drawer and taking cash, then fleeing the scene.

Later in the day, he went to the Marathon gas station, 36 Spring St., and took cash again while confusing the store clerk.

The man is described as 6-feet tall and 230 pounds, in his late 40s. He appears to be cross-eyed and was seen in a red Toyota Camry.
