UPDATE: Macon shooting victim on life support

A 22 year old man was shot in the head Saturday and was on life support Sunday night at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, according to a Macon police news release.

Officers were dispatched in reference to “a person down” about 9 a.m. Saturday, the release stated. Officers canvassed the neighborhood around May and Zinnia avenues at the park to gather information and to see if anyone heard a gunshot.

The victim's family was consulting with doctors, the latest release stated.
