Because of drought conditions and low water levels, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources announced Friday that it will close boat ramps at the Ocmulgee Public Fishing area in Bleckley and Pulaski counties until further notice, according to a news release.
Trucks were having a difficult time navigating muddy areas around the ramp, making it difficult to launch boats, the release stated. Currently, the lake is 12 feet below full pool.
