Two filmmakers who are cycling across the country to bring awareness to suicide will be at an event Thursday evening at the Spring Street landing on the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail from 6-8 p.m.
Thomas Brown and Zachary Chipps are taking part in a 7,000-mile bike ride, stopping in 110 cities in 21 states. Both men lost their brothers to suicides and are trying to raise awareness about the issue.
The event, which is free to the public, is sponsored by the Middle Georgia Suicide Prevention Coalition. Speakers will include Sheri McGuinness, president and CEO of the Suicide Prevention Action Network of Georgia, and Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
