Macon police arrested a man on multiple charges after he kicked out the glass window of a police vehicle while officers were serving a warrant, according to a police report.
Billy DeWayne McElroy Jr., 24, of Marion Place, was charged with battery on a police officer and interference with government property after officers attempted to serve a warrant on a domestic violence charge at his home Monday night.
When officers were serving the warrant, McElroy allegedly cursed at his mother and slapped the food out of her hands, according to the report. Officers cuffed McElroy and placed him in the back seat as McElroy told officers he was going to spit on them. Officers draped a T-shirt over his face, so he couldn’t.
According to the report, McElroy then hit his head on the glass window and kicked it out with his feet. One of the officers was cut by the flying glass.
