Bibb County parents will be able to register their children to start school in the fall and get immunizations and health screenings all in one place.
The Bibb County school system and the Macon-Bibb County Health Department will host their third annual Back to School Carnival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. The event will take place at the school system’s Welcome Center at 2003 Riverside Drive in Macon.
Parents registering their children for school will need to have a certified birth certificate, immunization form, proof of residence such as a utility bill, Social Security card, a dental, vision and hearing form, and a government-issued ID. Parents enrolling transfer students will need to provide proof of address.
Students also can receive immunizations and dental, vision and hearing screenings needed to enroll in school at the event.
