Kroger officials said they’re planning to add a fuel center at its Perry supermarket.
Glenn Jenkins, Kroger spokesman, said Tuesday the company has plans to begin construction at the store, 1367 Sam Nunn Blvd., on July 16.
“That’s a tentative date ... it’s subject to change. It’s been pushed back a couple of times,” Jenkins said.
If construction begins on the planned date, it should be completed by early October,” he added.
“For those who have their Kroger Plus cards with Fuel Rewards, there’s tremendous value,” said Jenkins.
The Perry Kroger opened in 1992.
Construction plans are also in the works for a fuel center at the Kroger at 220 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. in Macon, Jenkins said. Work there is scheduled to begin late this month and would be completed in mid to late October.
Jenkins said those dates, too, are tentative.
