Macon police are looking for the weekend vandal who destroyed the sign at Cherry Blossom Festival headquarters.

Police were called Monday morning once workers arrived to find the sign in pieces outside 794 Cherry St.

Festival employees were speculating as to whether someone used a karate kick, or body slammed it to break the foam board between wooden posts.

The sign denoting the headquarters of Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission and the festival was intact Friday evening.
