Macon police responded to a call about gunfire at 4284 Houston Ave. at about 3 a.m. Friday.
Johnny Wade and Peter McKenzie opened fire at one another at the residence after a verbal dispute, according to a police report released Monday.
Debbie Perkins, a witness, told police Wade left the house after an argument with McKenzie, then paced on the sidewalk before firing two shots into the air and at least four shots at the house.
Perkins told police that McKenzie then returned fire with a semi-automatic weapon, firing three shots at Wade before Wade ran.

Officers collected three spent shell casings on the front steps of the house, according to the report.
Wade’s weapon was described as a silver-colored revolver with a black grip. No arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon.
