Macon police are investigating a complaint that a Macon man was assaulted and robbed by five individuals at a gas station Tuesday night on Jeffersonville Road, according to a police report.
Officers met the victim at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where he was being treated for injuries, the report said. The victim told officers he was at the Petro station, 1208 Jeffersonville Road, when five other men assaulted him. One of the assailants struck the victim with an unknown object, possibly a gun.
The victim said he was unconscious. When he came to, he went to a friend’s house nearby to clean up some of the blood, then walked to the Medical Center. The victim told officers the assailants took $150 cash and his cell phone.
Before the assault, the victim said he noticed the men standing near a burgundy, four-door Honda Civic, according to the report. He told officers that he knew two of the men who attacked him.
