Bibb County Commissioner Joe Allen launched his re-election campaign Wednesday, saying he wants to deal with unfinished business across Bibb County and in his District 4.
Allen said he has served 18 years as a county commissioner. As chairman of the commission’s Human Resources Committee, he wants to continue working to transition Macon employees to the Bibb County government. He also wants to try again to get commission and commission committee meetings broadcast on the government-access television channel and work with Commissioner Lonzy Edwards to get zero-based budgeting for the county.
Allen said Wednesday that too many decisions are being made in committees, rather than by all the commissioners.
