Warner Robins City Council considered a bid contract to restore Bay Gall Creek vegetation and a proposal to extend discounted gym membership to city employees at its precouncil meeting Thursday.
Council will vote Monday at its regular meeting on a $22,000 contract with Cedargreen Landscaping, Inc. to restore the buffer at Bay Gall, which the Georgia Environmental Protection Division is requiring as part of a permitting violation.
According to bid sheets given to City Council, Cedargreen’s bid was the lowest of three received for the project.
Council members agreed to offer an Edge Fitness membership to city employees for between $5 and $6 per pay period. Bryan Fobbus, the city human resources manager, said it's the first time city employees will be offered the option.
