Former Macon City Council candidate Danny Glover was selected as the new chairman of the Bibb County Democratic Party on Monday night.
Glover, 24, lost to incumbent Tom Ellington for the Ward 3, Post 3 council seat this past July.
Glover said he attended Monday’s Democratic Party meeting with the idea of serving on one of the party’s committees, but he ended up running unopposed for the chairmanship.
He said his goal is to the move the party forward and get more voters registered.
Glover succeeds Daryl Morton as party chairman.
