WARNER ROBINS -- A Warner Robins man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of another man early Saturday near the American Legion on Moody Road, police said.
Antonio Woodard, 36, was being held Monday in the Houston County jail on a charge of aggravated assault in the 2 a.m. shooting, said Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for Warner Robins police. Woodard was arrested later Saturday night, she said.
Jonathan Haslem, 31, of Warner Robins, was treated at The Medical Center of Central Georgia where he was taken after being shot in the head, and released Saturday afternoon, Pugh said.
The gunshot wound was superficial, Pugh said, having traveled into the skin and exiting at the top of the head.
Witnesses told police Woodward was sitting inside a vehicle when he shot Haslem, Pugh said. It was unclear whether Haslem was standing in the parking lot of the club at 1523 Moody Road or in the road itself when he was shot, she said.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation, Pugh said.
