Four inmates sustained minor injuries Thursday morning when a Georgia Department of Corrections bus overturned on Interstate 16 near Allentown.
A department spokeswoman said 11 inmates were on the bus that had left Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson. The bus was headed to Coastal State Prison in Garden City near Savannah.
Two staff members were on board when the bus crashed at about 10:30 a.m. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the Department of Corrections.
