Jacksonville, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal Services announced Monday its acquisition of B&W Waste, which has provided solid waste collection services to residents and businesses in Greene, Jasper, Morgan, Newton, Putnam, Rockdale and Walton counties since 1986, according to a news release.
Advanced Disposal’s purchase of the company includes a municipal solid waste transfer station in Madison, 1,200 commercial, roll-off and residential customers, 19 trucks and 780 containers, the release stated.
B&W’s 13 employees, including owners Larry and Alesia Bishop, will join Advanced Disposal in Middle Georgia. The company has a location on Interstate Drive in Macon. The company’s office in Madison will operate under Advanced Disposal.
“Customers can be assured they will continue to receive the most responsive and environmentally responsible solid waste services possible,” Charlie Gray, Advanced Disposal’s regional vice president, said in the release.

Advanced Disposal is the fourth-largest privately owned environmental services company in the United States, according to the release. It also has operations in Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
