CENTERVILLE - Houston County dedicated its new Centerville branch of the public library during a ceremony Thursday morning.
Gov. Sonny Perdue spoke during the dedication, calling the 16,000 square foot facility, "a great Christmas present for Centerville."
The library, located on Gunn Road, was built using $2.2 million in SPLOST funds and $2 million in state funds.
The new library is not open yet. The current facility will close Dec. 24 and the new facility will open Jan. 24.
