Southeastern Region baseball: Virginia tops South Carolina

WARNER ROBINS - Virginia defeated South Carolina 9-0 in a consolation game at the Little League Baseball Southeastern Region Tournament on Tuesday.

Christian Leckert blasted a two-run home run in the third inning to break open a tight game. Virginia added three runs in the fourth and two more in the sixth as they used four pitchers to hold South Carolina to three hits in the game.

Matthew Blaise had two hits for Virginia, while South carolina got hits from from Jared Lembcke , Austin Schmitz and Brendon Calvert.
