Gov. Sonny Perdue appointed three Middle Georgians to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Authority on Wednesday evening.
Maconites Kirby Moore and Emily Myers will join Fort Valley's Stan Lomax on the authority, according to a news release from the Governor's Office.
Moore is an attorney with Moore and McCollum and is on the board of directors for the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Foundation.
Myers is president and CEO of Myers McRae Executive Search and Consulting firm and is a past senior vice president for advancement and external affairs for Mercer University.

Lomax served as head football coach at Fort Valley State University and is past chairman of the Peach County Chamber of Commerce's board of directors.
The three join McDonough pharmacist Tony Moye and golfer Lee Roquemore Burton of St. Simons Island as the new appointees on the authority.
