WARNER ROBINS - Tennessee (Daniel Boone Little League) defeated Virginia (Bridgewater Little League) 8-4 in their Little League Softball Southeastern Region Tournament pool play game Thursday night.
Alexa Sheets his a two-run inside the park home run in the bottom of the first to give Virginia a 2-0 lead. Tennessee scored a run in the top of the third, but Virginia got the run back on a passed ball in the bottom of the third.
Tennessee scored in the top of the fourth on an RBI double by Jaclyn Jenkins. Jenkins scored later in the inning on a fielder's choice to tie the game at 3, then Abby Harrison doubled home another run for a 4-3 lead. Harrison scored on a wild pitch to make it 5-3.
In the top of the fifth, Lindsey Laughren hit an RBI double to put Tennessee up 6-3. Caroline Wilson followed with a two-run single for an 8-3 lead.

Virginia scored a run in the bottom of the sixth on a throwing error.
On Friday, Virginia (0-1) plays Florida (1-0) at 1 p.m. and Tennessee (1-0) plays West Virginia (0-1) at 4 p.m.
