A Cadwell man died late Monday afternoon after causing an accident on U.S. 441 in Dublin.
Nicholas Barfield, 21, was traveling west on Marie Church Road at about 4 p.m. when he failed to stop at the stop sign at U.S. 441, said Dublin Police Chief Wayne Cain.
Barfield drove his 1996 Ford Ranger pickup into the path of a 2000 GMC box truck driven by 50-year-old Kyle Banks of Ball Ground, who was traveling south on U.S. 441,Cain said.
Barfield died at the scene as both vehicles left the road. Banks had to be cut out of the cab of his truck and was taken to Fairview Park Hospital, Cain said.

"Barfield was at fault for the accident for failing to yield," Cain said.
There was no evidence Barfield tried to stop or applied brakes, Cain said.
