Multiple people are hurt after a serious accident closed Interstate 75 North in south Houston County.
Five people were taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with injuries following the accident, including two people who were thrown out of a vehicle that rolled over. The victims who were ejected are in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, said a hospital source.
The accident happened near mile marker 130, which is about four miles south of the South Perry Parkway, said Sgt. Jim Adams of the Houston 911 Center.
The 4:40 a.m. accident initially blocked all northbound lanes near Firetower Road, but only one lane was closed as of 7 a.m., sources said. No further information was immediately available as the troopers investigating the accident were not accessible by radio, a Georgia State Patrol dispatcher said.
