A convertible rolled in Warner Robins early Sunday after failing to negotiate a turn, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department. The 24-year-old driver and a 16-year-old passenger were injured in the wreck, while another passenger escaped serious injury.
The incident happened about 12:30 a.m. Melissa Lynette McKinney of Warner Robins was driving a 2000 Ford Mustang convertible south on South Pleasant Hill Road when she turned right onto Forrester Drive. After the turn, McKinney lost control of the car, which traveled through three front yards on Forrester Drive before it rolled. The car came to a rest on its left side.
McKinney and the 16-year-old passenger were taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia. Their conditions were not available Sunday evening. The other passenger, 19-year-old Joseph Bohannon of Warner Robins, was treated at the scene and released.
No charges had been made in the incident as of Sunday morning. All of the car’s occupants were wearing seat belts. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call Warner Robins police at 929-1170.
