Two women cut near Macon's main post office

Macon police and rescue crews responded to 1230 Hardeman Ave. where two women were cut at about 7:30 a.m. Friday.

Firefighters and ambulance crews responded to a report of a woman cut multiple times and found two women injured, although both were able to talk to investigators and did not appear to be mortally wounded.

The older of the two women was sitting on the porch of the house talking to paramedics as the younger woman was at the curb explaining to police what happened. The Macon Police Department's public information officer did not respond to a phone message seeking more information Friday. The incident report could be released Monday.

Both women were taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia shortly before 8 a.m. Friday.
