ETSU women earn spot in A-Sun championship game

The ETSU Lady Bucs are one win away from their third straight A-Sun tournament title and the NCAA tournament berth that goes with it.

The Lady Bucs defeated Belmont 77-63 on Friday in the semifinal round. ETSU defeated Jacksonville in the tournament championship the past two years.ETSU is 22-8 after Friday’s win and they have won 20 of their 22 games this season against A-Sun opponents. The Lady Bucs have won nine straight games and 18 of their past 19.

Senior Siarre Evans led ETSU with 25 points and 12 rebounds. The Spalding product made 9-of-18 shots from the floor and was 6-of-7 from the foul line. Tarita Gordon added 20.

Sophomores Haley Nelson and Cacy Burtnett led Belmont with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
