Man missing after fatal Macon wreck is 'alive and well'

A man who disappeared from a deadly traffic accident early Friday is “alive and well,” Macon police said Monday.

Attorney Holly Hogue contacted police Friday afternoon and said that Henry Williams Jr. was all right, according to a statement from the department Monday.

Hogue, the Williams family attorney, told police that all discussions about the accident should be directed to her office.

Williams, of Monroe County, was unaccounted for after a quad-cab pickup carrying him and six others crashed over a guardrail on Interstate 75 near the Interstate 16 interchange about 3 a.m. Shannon Hendricks, 29, of Culloden, died in the crash.

Two of the crash survivors are brothers of Williams.
