A Macon-Bibb County firefighter was injured Thursday afternoon while battling a house fire at 929 Log Cabin Way, fire officials said.
Capt. Gregory Binford of the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department said the call came in about 3:30 p.m. It took responding units about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.
Binford said he thinks Lt. Kelley Potts sustained an injury when something fell on him while he was fighting the fire. Potts was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia. Hospital officials said Potts was in stable condition.
The house sustained heavy damage, Binford said, but none of the occupants was injured.The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Binford said.
