An autopsy concluded a Byron man died as the result of injuries from an accident Tuesday morning.
Hubert Foskey, 72, of Lower Hartley Bridge Road drove his 2007 Ford Ranger into the path of a 2008 Nissan Altima shortly before 8 a.m. at Liberty Church and Hawkinsville roads, said Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
The pickup then hit and hit a Chevrolet Malibu stopped at Liberty Church Road, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
Foskey was conscious and alert when medical personnel and deputies arrived, but he went into cardiac arrest in the ambulance and was pronounced dead in the emergency center of The Medical Center of Central Georgia at 8:54 a.m., Jones said.
“He had no visible injuries and was hit on the passenger side,” Jones said.
Tuesday's autopsy gave the cause of death as blunt force trauma, Jones said this morning.
Macon's Angel McCall, 33, was slightly hurt in the Nissan and was taken to Houston Healthcare in Warner Robins, Jones said.
The three people in the Malibu were not hurt, the release stated.
