A 14-year-old boy is listed in critical condition at a hospital after he was struck by a car while riding on a small BMX bike Tuesday night with two other teenagers.
Reginald Davis was riding on the handle bars and sustained head injuries. Two other boys, 17-year-old Kenard Royal and 16-year-old Deon Scott, also sustained minor injuries, according to a Macon police news release.
Lashanda Greene, 24, told officers she was driving on Newberg Avenue just after 8 p.m. As she approached Baker Street, she heard a loud crash and her windshield collapsed, according to the release.
Greene told officers she didn’t see anyone.
Scott, the driver of the bicycle, said the boys didn’t see any cars coming when they started to cross the road, according to the release.
No charges have been filed against Greene, who sustained minor injuries in the crash, according to police.
