Rain totals of up to 4 inches could trigger flooding today in Middle Georgia.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for northern and central parts of the state through this evening as periods of heavy rain are expected.
At least 2 to 3 inches of rain is expected with heavier rain possible in isolated areas.
Moderate flooding is possible on rivers and creeks.
A wind advisory is also posted until 10 p.m. today for gusts over 35 miles per hour today. The winds are expected to die down after sunset.
