Chalk officially announces intention to run for WR mayor

WARNER ROBINS – Chuck Chalk said having a more citizen-focused government would be among the priorities in his campaign to become Warner Robins’ mayor.

The 42-year-old held a press conference on the south lawn of the Homer J. Walker Municipal Complex Tuesday morning officially announcing his intentions to run for mayor. Councilman Clifford Holmes Jr., pharmaceutical sales representative Chuck Shaheen and sitting Mayor Donald Walker have also said they intend to file papers during the declaration of candidacy period which begins Aug. 31.

Chalk, a 20-year air force veteran who still works on the base, reiterated that voters having options was part of the reason he’s decided to run for mayor this year rather than waiting four more years.
