Masked gunmen rob Bibb Family Dollar

Two masked gunmen held up the Family Dollar in east Bibb County at about 8:30 p.m. Monday.

With one man carrying a nickel-plated handgun and the other brandishing a long rifle, the men demanded money from the cash register of the store at 3656 Jeffersonville Road, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The men were last seen running away. One is described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a black T-shirt, khaki pants and gloves with the fingers cut out, the release stated. The second gunman was a black man about 5 feet 9 inches tall who was wearing a tan or gray sleeveless shirt with black pants and black shoes, the release stated.
