Woman carjacked at south Macon gas station

A woman waiting for her boyfriend in an idling car was carjacked late Tuesday night at a south Macon gas station.

India Smith, 20, told investigators she was sitting in a running 2003 Tahoe parked outside the Citgo at 1803 Pio Nono Ave. when two gunmen approached at about 11:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

One of the men was wearing a mask as they got into the car and demanded money. Smith jumped out of the sport utility vehicle and the suspects drove off headed south on Pio Nono.

The white Tahoe has license plate number ACH 7245, the release stated.
