22-year-old shot in the foot during argument, Macon police say

A 22-year-old man was shot in the foot after an argument at 2360 Crissey Drive just before 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Macon police.

Lamarion Brown was at an apartment with two friends when another man arrived and warned Brown not to hang out with the man’s female relative, according to the police.

Lt. Carl Fletcher said the man then shot Brown in the foot.

Brown and his two friends attempted to drive to the hospital, Brown said.

A Bibb County deputy clocked them on radar traveling more than 80 mph and observed them running a red light, said Bibb sheriff’s spokesman Lt. George Meadows. The deputy pursued but had to break off the chase.

The deputy caught up with them after they struck a pole and wrecked their car near the intersection of Shurling and Stratford drives, said Sgt. Melanie Hofmann.

Brown then refused medical treatment, she said.

The man accused of shooting Brown was last seen driving away in a two-door, older model blue or gray vehicle, she said.
