A privately owned twin engine airplane crashed at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport about 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The landing gear collapsed as the pilot attempted to land, causing the plane to tip forward, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
Damage to the aircraft was described as minor, according to the release.
A pilot and one passenger were aboard, according to Macon police.
They were not injured, she said.
The identity of the occupants has not been released.
