A 23-year-old Bonaire man was killed Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle wreck in north Houston County, according to the Georgia State Patrol in Perry.
About 12:45 p.m., Jaterrian Williams, of Coronation Drive, was headed north on Houston Lake Road near Simmons Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, left the road and struck a light pole, cadet William Wood said.
Williams suffered fatal injuries after being thrown from the vehicle, Wood said. Williams was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck, according to authorities.
Wood said the motorcycle’s speed appears to be a factor in the incident.
“Based on the report, it looks like he tried to go around the curve too fast,” he said.
The incident remains under investigation.
