A Subway restaurant is headed to Forsyth Road.
The sandwich shop is expected to open in the former Bruster’s ice cream shop building in three to four months, said Lou Patel, a partner in the development of the property. About six employees traditionally work in a Subway, he said.
Patel said Wednesday he has scrapped plans to open a Wow Café & Wingery in the building. He is a partner of Wow Cafes of Georgia Inc., the Georgia franchisee of New Orleans-based Wow Café & Wingery Inc. The former ice cream building was torn down a year ago to make way for the 3,750-square-foot building. Originally, plans were for three restaurants to go in the building. Now, there is about 2,200 square feet of space available for lease, Patel said.
Plans for a Wow Café on Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins are in the drawing stage and it, too, is expected to open in about three or four months, Patel said.
