One of three alleged convenience store robbers caught

Bibb County deputies are searching for two men who robbed the Flash Foods convenience store located at 5602 Thomaston Rd. just before 3:20 a.m. today.

Three men wearing black hoods robbed the store and left in a white Honda, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

A clerk called the sheriff’s office after the robbery and a deputy spotted the vehicle shortly after the call on Foster Road, according to the release.

The driver refused to stop when the deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop. At some point, the robbers ran from the car into a wooded area near First Presbyterian Day School, according to the release.

Deputies apprehended one of the robbers, a 16-year-old boy whose name has not been released, near the intersection of Tucker Road and Wimbledon Drive, according to the release.
