Gang task force offers tips on recognizing gang activity

WARNER ROBINS — The Houston County Gang Task Force is sponsoring a free breakfast Saturday at First Baptist Church, 210 Garmon St., Warner Robins.

The public is invited to join teachers, local ministers and police officers to learn gang recognition tips and how to help a youngster steer clear of such activity, said Houston County District Attorney Kelly Burke, a task force member.

Featured speakers include Warner Robins police detective Karen Stokes, Perry police investigator Quridsha Gilliam and Houston County sheriff’s Sgt. Kevin Harper and Cpl. Robert Davis.

The breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and the event is expected to conclude at 9:30 a.m.
