Macon liquor store robbed at gunpoint | Video

Macon police are looking for the gunman who robbed a liquor store this morning off Shurling Drive.

Shortly after 10 a.m. a black man wearing gray hoodie and a blue scarf across his face walked into the Sportsman Package Store 2 and demanded cash from the clerk, said Macon police detective Cornelius Pendleton.

The woman behind the counter was visibly shaken as she told investigators she was scared after the robber threatened to shoot her and her family.

Officers put up crime scene tape around the front of the small white store that sits in the triangle between Millerfield Road and Shurling Drive.

Investigators were reviewing the surveillance tape as crime technicians dusted the front door for fingerprints.

A lookout posted shortly after the robbery stated the gunmen fled toward Shurling Drive.
